| Addendum: Change Your Mind |
Hiroshi Doi-sensei, member of the Usui Reiki Ryo-ho Gakkai and founder of Gendai Reiki-ho, in Japan, talks about vibrations, waves, et cetera, in regards to the universe, and Reiki. He specifically addresses the ‘wave of love,’ and writes, “The sun sends out the life energy in every direction for every creature. It turns into heat, the light and the wave…we should realize that healing energy is constantly radiated from the spirituality of the sun. The wave of affection is similar to the wave of love, but since it contains a person’s emotion, it is energy towards a certain direction. If it is sublimated to the energy spreading to all directions by extending your consciousness, it will turn into the wave of love.”
Now, think about this in another way, suppose it is not ‘affection’ that is being generated, but ‘hate,’ and ‘dislike,’ or, perhaps, ‘anger,’ and ‘frustration.’
From childhood, many of us have heard stories about being careful about what one says. Why is this? Well, let’s take a look at Numerology. In Numerology, it is taught there are vibrations contained within individual letters, numbers, as well as, the combination of letters into words and sentences. We know that scientifically speaking, sounds, spoken words and sentences may be viewed on an oscilloscope. The oscilloscope transmits, and ‘images’ the vibration that is being created onto a screen for viewing. There, one may see a ‘visible’ vibration from the spoken word.
Vibrations are carried in waves from their point of origin, to the one receiving the wave, or, from the ‘encoder’ or message ‘sender,’ to the ‘decoder’ or message ‘recipient.’
What about the ‘written’ word then? Well, the written word, from what we have seen, would also carry a vibration, the vibration of what the writer may have been thinking and feeling at the time of composing their work.
It is well known, that some authors of fiction, or non-fiction, have done remarkably well at communicating humor, suspense, mystery, wonder, et cetera to their reader. Poe, for example, was a master of writing intense novels, and conveying feelings to his readers.
Now, think about some of the ‘news’ features, ‘blogs,’ or ‘posts’ that people put up on MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter. The ‘intent’ for many of these posts maybe to ‘inform’ or get people to take action on something, but, many of these posts simply end-up ‘stirring’ people up, or getting them ‘angry,’ because so many people are ‘unaware’ of the ‘power’ of vibration.
How many posts can you recall that speak to becoming ‘calm’ and ‘rational’ in the face of adversity, or to resolve a situation? Think about it. Would you chose to be a ‘peacemaker,’ or an ‘antagonist’?
As Osho points out, “everything in the universe is connected,” so if indeed, everything in the universe is connected, and there is no time and space, only ‘now,’ then this connection can facilitate the instant transmitting of energy, thoughts, feelings and vibration.
The ripple effect. Drop a pebble into the water and watch the waves move out, away, and into the distance. That is why, when our various industries affect nature, and the planet, in a negative or positive way, it in turn affects humankind, and everything else.
Therefore, we can see, that mood, feeling, thoughts, and the intensity of a writer, may be transmitted to a reader. How many people have been heard to exclaim how a ‘certain’ book has made some type of emotional impact on them, changed their way of thinking, or even their life.
Words, sentences, writing, and verbalizations all carry and transmit energy, so, it is good to remember, and monitor, what one may really want to ‘say’ or ‘transmit’ to another person. As the saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for,” but one might also add, “Be careful what you write and speak.” Once something is said, or written, it cannot be taken back. The vibration is on it’s way.
Think about it!
